A young lady in our church has requested prayer for healing from cysts spreading through her body. Doctors are suspicious that they could be cancerous and have scheduled surgery next month. We lift her up in prayer for healing, that these cysts will be benign and cause no further problems. We also pray that God will work it out that she can receive custody of her children in the very near future. If you would like to help unite her with her children, by providing any of the much needed items required, call Pastor Bickel at (412) 371-1611 6/07- Answer to prayer! She has received all of her children, at court order. At a recent visit to her physician they could find none of the suspicious cysts! Praise God for His wonderful healing Hand yet again and His divine intervention.
We urgently lift the Virginia Tech students, faculty members, parents and friends up to God in prayer, in relation to the Virginia Tech Massacre FHCB just received an email from one of the parents attending our church (her daughter attends VT). Her daughter was on campus yesterday morning, her friend's mother to be in that very classroom, but God intervened, keeping them away and in safety. Praise God!Unfortunately there are others who were helplessly slain. Everyone is looking for answers in this mass confustion. One pastor interviewed on Good Morning America, eloquently stated that perhaps this is God's way of bringing America back to where He wants it, where America will turn to Him and others in compassion and love. How wisely spoken. Brings to mind a quote from former President Ronald Reagan, in our Sunday bulletin. "If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under."
A child (4 yrs old) from our Sunday School class was tragically hit by a truck in the Fall while playing near the street. He was admitted to Children's hospital-everyone feared the worse. But a prayer group was formed, a band of believers lifted Little Wayne up to our Lord, Christians were praying across the globe for this little guy. The doctors feared paralysis, brain damage, really just a vegetable for the rest of his life. Answer to Prayer! (3/20/07) Little Wayne has come thru surgery miraculously-there is no doubt that God has intervened in his life. He is undergoing therapy, has taken steps, has spoken, responds to commands, recognizes people, is attempting to eat solid foods...he is known around the hospital ward as the "Miracle Boy" . He has been permanently placed back in his home, with the assistance of an on-call nurse. His grandma calls him a Lil' Troublemaker at the ward, and that's such wonderful news to hear! We are trusting God for a full recovery and can't wait to see him back in our Sunday School classes. All praise goes to our great God!!!
